Going Green

I've always had skin that was fairly easy to manage, but there was some things I really wanted to fix with it after living in the harsh, cold Pittsburgh weather.

My skin goes between breaking out (from stress and hormonal changes, mostly) to being extremely dry and blotchy. The redness is really what bothers me about my skin, though, because it makes it difficult for me to get an even skin tone base to do my contouring make-up.

I was picking up my usual foundation, Maybelline New York Dream Liquid Mousse in Natural Ivory (30), when I saw their new primer. I fell in love: the primer, Maybelline New York Master Prime in 300, is a green primer to help cover up redness in your skin.

The packaging is so slick, and the product itself comes out a pearly, light green. I found it best to work a little underneath a thin layer of foundation, and repeat. After letting it sit for a minute, I continued on with my usual make-up routine. I was shocked at how light the primer felt on my skin and how incredibly well it hid all my redness.

I'd like to note that this is not a sponsored post, I just really like the product. A lot of people were asking me about it, so I thought I would share my review of it!

Hope that you find your go-to make-up fix in this new year! Wishing you the best.
